Good Afternoon Everyone. First off I will start by informing you of what I am doing. I got a 92 Z N/A blew motor last year (head gasket went in traffic some people wouldn’t let me move over to the breakdown lane…I will leave it like that)at that point I decided to do a TT swap. Yes I could have bought another Z, but I love my pearl white Z and it has grown onto me. In April I started the swap. Not rushing anything and just taking my time at night. I don’t want my car to be just put together I want it to be nice, clean, and powerful. You can go into my profile and see what I have so far and suggest anything to me. I have learned a lot of this forum and don’t think I would be anywhere without this site. September is coming to an end and up here in the Northeast and I get to look forward to winter. That leaves me with October and November just two months. I am at the point that I CAN put the motor in and getting it running and drive it for two months and work on it during the winter, but from what I have read I don’t think the stock turbo is going to up to the level I want. FYI: My friend has a 425hp Jetta 1.8T that I want to keep up with. At this point in time I don’t want to go and spend a 5k for the turbo and downpipes etc, but I don’t mind giving myself another two months to save money and buy new turbo's etc. I would like for my Z to have decent spool due to I am not into going crazy fast. All I want is my Z to have a strong power band. The dilemma is should I put the motor in and forget about doing new turbo’s etc till next winter or should I just suck up not having my Z running and do the modifications and have my wonderful fast clean Z ready for Springtime. I have thought long and hard on this and would like some input Also…Sorry if I made this long just trying to put a understanding of my scenario out there Thank You TT.net
